## What it is

Mobile Mouse USB is an iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch utility that provides USB mouse, keyboard, trackpad, and media-remote control through the Mobile Mouse USB-C dongle. The app communicates with the dongle through Bluetooth, while the dongle presents standard USB Human Interface Device input to the host. The connection does not require WiFi, internet access, a local network, host drivers, companion server software, or a background desktop process.

## Setup summary

1. Plug the Mobile Mouse USB-C dongle into the device to control.
2. Confirm that the dongle light is blinking.
3. Open a text field on the host device so the dongle can type its pairing code.
4. Bring the iOS device nearby and tap Start Scan in the Mobile Mouse app.
5. Let the app find the dongle, then enter the code typed on the host.

After pairing once, the app and dongle reconnect when they are in range. The dongle can then be moved among compatible USB host devices.

## Connection and security

Bluetooth input uses Bluetooth's built-in encryption. Mobile Mouse states that it does not store or collect text typed through the app.
